Blaaauugh! Shane is right dude, these are incredible. I especially love the freckly sourpuss hiding in the corner of the page away from all the judgmental lady types. Call me nuts, but I think the best thing ever would be an animated TV show that looked EXACTLY like these drawings. It would pretty much fix the world.

Is that Eric Fountain...? Har har

My dearest Brigette:

Please let me try to express what these drawings mean to me.

Firstly, HOLY CRAP.

Secondly, looking at these sparks a longing in me to fly into outer space and keep on going until I either 1) die, or 2) witness the face of God. Truthfully, that's what these drawing actually make me want to do (for some reason).

Thirdly, they make make heart swell with the possibilities of what may actually be possible, in art, life and otherwise. I don't know why they effect me so, but for the fact that they are clearly made with such love and thought and that both of those things shine through and speak to me.

I know this whole comment sounds like hyperbole, but I'm actually this excited about your work.

And even in lieu of Submarella, they're perfect!

No way! He was WAAAAY dorkier looking as a teen than any of these kids. That kid did come out looking kinda like him though...

ONE of these kids is me at 17 though. 100 points to you if you can figure out which one!

Thanks Adrian, so much. I tried to capture the awkwardness, the total, uncompromising awkwardness of teenager-hood. I used CSSSA kids as reference, because CSSSA kids are the best.

Don't go flying into the face of God or anything, now!

CSSSA!
The one on the left with the green dress reminds me a bit of Sirose. And the one on the right....Darla? Those big glasses at least.

These are great Brigette! I really like the sulky guy on the bottom right. That just screams Cal Arts! You always see at least 10 of them on thursday nights.

Alright, I think the one in the sweatshirt is you. (?) Or the fairy girl, but that just seems too out of character...

I know everyone is like Holy Shit! Brigette! so I won't add to that, but all I can say is that these are some of the best stuff I've seen on a blog for a long time. Jeez, they're truly awesome.

This is by far some of the most inspiring shit I've ever seen. It's so fresh and now. I would wwatch this religiusly solely on the art. Please do keep it up. It's kids like you that need to breathe life into american animation...
